TODDS ADVENTURES

Autumn is here, warm sunny days and cool nights the leaves on the trees are beginning to change colour, and Daniel has started the autumn pruning of the garden, with Borris help! I personally think he is more of a hindrance, but it keeps him out of my way so I can do sleeping on the sofa….that's my job and I am very good at it, I think his job is causing chaos, but I am sure puppy school will put all that right.

The gardens here are look stunning, Miss Babb's is spending a lot of time out there watching all the busy birds, bird watching is a great pastime of hers. She and Borris are still great mates and can often be found on the lawn playing, it's quite funny seeing a big black dog and a small black cat playing on the grass!

The organic vegetable garden is doing very well and is now producing lettuce, radishes, carrots, beetroot and other items, also planted are potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, spinach and loads more things, guests in the self catering cottages are invited to pick there own and those having dinner in the main house get to sample the produce there.

When we go walking on Noordhoek beach Borris often meets up with his best mate Bailey a golden retriever, they seem to play for ever on the sand getting covered in the stuff, when he gets home he always has to have a brush to get rid of it all.

Colin took us both for a walk in Tokaii Forest last week end we had great fun, although it was over 30 degrees we were in shade all the time so it was very pleasant, as it is now becoming a little cooler we have both been promised mountain walks which will be great fun, I understand that there are some great views and the flora and forna are fabulous!

The fire wood for the fire places in the house has arrived ready for the cosy winter nights; I can't wait to be laid by the fire.

Bye bye until next time. Woof woof to all.
